A boat was burning, down to the waterline in Elliott Bay following a reported explosion on board. One person was taken to the hospital.

A fire on board a boat in Elliott Bay around noon on Sunday, apparently caused by an explosion. Only one person was on board the boat at the time. That person was rescued by a civilian boater and taken ashore.
The was visible from West Seattle and other points around the bay. It was listed at being in the 1600 block of Harbor Ave SW.
