The White Center Community Development Association (WCCDA) is a grass-roots group incorporated in 2002. As a result of a neighborhood assessment, residents called for an organization dedicated to neighborhood revitalization. WCCDA sponsors the White Center Farmers Market and seasonal international festivals in downtown White Center, offers a business assistance program for area merchants and partners with the University of Washington School of Architecture on its storefront design studio. It is also pursuing leads on its first affordable housing development.
