Me-Kwa-Mooks Park

Monday, May 12, 2008

4504 Beach Drive S.W.

Me-Kwa-Mooks has served as an outdoor classroom for students for years. Beyond the apparent environmental curriculum available in its 20.2 acres, the park site offers fun and relaxation as well. The site is equipped with picnic tables, a play area, barbecue stand and trails. Crossing Beach Drive, Emma Schmitz Memorial Viewpoint features more learning opportunities with its low-tide pools of marine life formed between the outcroppings. Several benches sit upland, providing an overview of the park site and Puget Sound.
